Junior Boys State Championship

Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group in front of them. A competitor is subject to penalty if he unduly delays play. Rule 6-7 (Note 2) is in effect.

OUT OF POSITION: At any time during the round, the group is behind the perscribed schedule as detailed on the pace of play chart. Any following group: (a) is taking more than the allotted time to play, and (b) reaches the tee of a par 3 hole and the hole is clear, fails to clear the tee of a par 4 before the preceding group clears the putting green, or arrives on the teeing ground of a par 5 when the preceding group is on the green. NOTE: Both (a) and (b) must apply for a group to be out of position.

GROUP OUT OF POSITION: Timing of a group out of position will be handled by a member to the Rules Committee. A player is allowed 45 seconds to complete their shot. Players will not be notified when they are being timed. Although the Rules Committee wil not inform groups when they are being monitored, they will inform them of their status any time they are asked.
